Construction:
Conductors: Usually made of stranded copper, the conductors carry the electrical current.
Insulation: The space between the conductors is filled with a compacted mineral insulation (typically magnesium oxide), which is non-combustible, outer insulation is XLPE for moisture-resistant, and have excellent thermal conductivity.
Sheath: The entire assembly is encased in a metallic sheath, usually made of seamless aluminum tubing, which provides additional fire resistance.
